Description Civeo is seeking an accomplished Head Chef to take ownership of culinary performance at our Nebo Village—a high-volume remote village operation supported by multi-disciplinary on-site teams. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a Head Chef who combines operational excellence with strong commercial discipline, people leadership, and a visible commitment to safety and quality. This is a permanent role on a 14:7 roster. The Opportunity A Head Chef, you will be accountable for the end-to-end performance of the kitchen and catering function: setting standards, building capability, and delivering consistent quality at scale in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include: Operational leadership: manage all kitchen operations, production and presentation of meal services, and service consistency in a high-volume environment Safety & compliance leadership: reinforce HSQE expectations and maintain ISO Quality Assurance certifications through strong process, audit readiness, and team discipline People & culture: lead, train, mentor and develop teams; create a performance culture through coaching, standards, rostering and clear accountability Commercial and reporting accountability: budgeting, auditing, reporting and cost control, with an analytical approach to continuous improvement Food leadership: menu development and batch cooking capability across service offerings, ensuring quality, presentation and operational efficiency Why Civeo Civeo offers a strong employee value proposition designed to support performance, wellbeing and retention: Salary of $111k Superannuation FIFO from Brisbane (or DIDO if you live locally and receive an annual $17k bonus instead of flights) Permanent 14:7 roster Food and accommodation provided at our villages (for those not living locally) Access to The Civeo Hive — reward, recognition, wellness and exclusive staff discounts Village amenities including provide ensuite accommodation, pools, gyms and sporting fields About You You are a confident, credible Head Chef with the presence to lead at scale and the discipline to deliver operational excellence day after day.
